I’m a Staff Software Engineer at DNAstack, where I’ve spent nearly a decade building and operating a HIPAA-regulated SaaS platform for genomics data infrastructure. I lead technical delivery across backend, frontend, CLI, and infrastructure, most recently shipping a clinical variant interpretation platform that cut clinician investigation time by 80%.

My work spans distributed systems, multi-cloud architecture (GCP, AWS, Azure), identity and authorization, and observability. I’ve designed multi-tenant platforms, built shared libraries for event-driven messaging and job scheduling, and led migrations across Spring Security, cloud providers, and monitoring stacks. I care deeply about building systems that are simple to operate and easy to reason about.

Outside of DNAstack, I co-lead the GA4GH Workflow Execution Service specification and serve on the OpenWDL Language Governance Committee, where I contributed the ANTLR grammar and several language features. I’m a strong believer in open standards and cross-organizational collaboration as a way to raise the bar for the whole industry.

I’m passionate about AI-augmented development, engineering leadership, and the craft of building software that solves hard problems well.
